Medical Education
The Robert Wood Johnson Medical School courses, Cellular and Genetic
Mechanisms, Gross and Developmental Anatomy, Neuroscience and Systems
Histology, enroll approximately 170-200 students each, including medical,
graduate and Physician Assistant Program students. The Cellular
and Genetic Mechanisms and Systems
Histology courses present the students with the structure and function
of the cells, tissues and organs of the body. The study of Gross
and Developmental Anatomy provides students with an essential understanding
of the structure of the human body upon which the students will build
the remainder of his or her medical education. The objectives of the Neuroscience
course are to teach the students basic neuroanatomy and the function of
the human central nervous systems.
