Clinical Programs
Osteoporosis Center
Physicians at the Osteoporosis Center sees patients with osteoporosis
and other metabolic bone diseases. The Division has a state-of-the-art
dual energy x-ray densitometer (Lunar Prodigy with Vision package) DXA
machine, which provides high accuracy and precision with minimal radiation
exposure (i.e., less than fifth the exposure from a chest x-ray). This
scanner is used for both clinical and research patients. A qualified senior
DXA technologist performs the scans.
The Osteoporosis Center provides excellent and comprehensive clinical
services to those with disorders of calcium metabolism. Together with
excellent basic scientific and clinical research (

community outreach, this center provides the best services to New Jersey
residents. The Center is located at the Clinical Academic Building.
