Clinical Research Center![]() The Clinical Research Center, a satellite of the New Jersey Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine, is home to Robert Wood Johnson Medical School's Program in Clinical Pharmacology. Located on the campus of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, the Center includes sophisticated inpatient, outpatient, and one-day-stay facilities for clinical investigations, and a large modern basic research laboratory. This interdisciplinary research effort includes nursing, pharmacy, and biostatistics and is an excellent educational experience for the student or resident considering a career in clinical research, clinical pharmacology or the pharmaceutical industry. The Clinical Research Center performs over 50 research studies per year in such diverse areas as immunology, connective tissue disease, sleep disorders, cancer, hypertension, dermatology, and neuropharmacology. Internal medicine residents may do electives in clinical research and pharmacology as well as gain research experience in basic science laboratories.
